gridX drives sector coupling forward

First 'Ready for gridX' partnership in e-mobility with go-e, Germany’s market leader for home charging

  • Collaboration between gridX and go-e ensures reliable and future-proof optimization of energy use at home.
  • Partnership reinforces both companies’ vision of accelerating the energy and mobility transitions through a shared ecosystem.
  • 'Ready for gridX' product certification ensures reliable interoperability; end customers benefit from a secure and stable connection and optimized energy use.

Aachen, October 21, 2025 – gridX, a leading energy management systems (EMS) provider, announces a strategic partnership with go-e, a pioneer in the development of smart charging stations headquartered in Austria. The cooperation marks a momentous step in the realization of sector coupling – the intelligent integration and control of multiple energy areas, namely electricity, heating and mobility – and connecting manufacturers, charging point operators and energy providers in a joint network. Since being founded in 2015, go-e has become one of the top brands for private charging in Germany and Austria. The company is currently Germany’s market leader in the field of home charging. This position makes go-e an ideal partner to further strengthen the 'Ready for gridX' ecosystem.

Benefits across the entire value chain

gridX’s EMS platform, XENON, enables energy suppliers to offer their end customers comprehensive, smart energy solutions that minimize costs and maximize control. As part of the new cooperation, the models 'go-e Charger PRO CABLE', 'go-e Charger Gemini (2.0)', 'go-e Charger Gemini flex (2.0)' in all power variants, and 'go-eCharger HOMEfix 11 kW' are integrated into XENON. Certification under the 'Ready for gridX' label guarantees the benefits provided by the smart energy management system: reliable interoperability and optimized control of charging stations in conjunction with other devices and the power grid. The collaboration creates clear added value for all parties involved: for go-e, this means faster scaling in the smart home energy market and access to exclusive sales channels. gridX customers benefit from the seamless connection to one of the most popular electric car charging stations: they are easy to commission, and deliver error-free performance in the long term. End customers, in turn, benefit from a secure and stable connection that ensures automatically optimized energy usage.

Joint synergies for efficient energy management
The strategic partnership between gridX and go-e represents a significant step for the energy transition and the expansion of smart energy solutions in the home. “With the expansion of ‘Ready for gridX’ to electric vehicle charging stations, we are breaking new ground. The spectacular start with the company with the largest market share in Germany is a clear sign of the enormous potential we see in the field of smart charging of electric cars at home,” says Robert van der Meulen, Head of Growth Services & Partnerships at gridX. “This partnership is an important step toward enabling end customers to manage their energy efficiently, securely and in a future-proof manner.”Erik Yesayan, CEO/CFO of go-e, also sees the opportunities offered by the cooperation: “We exclusively produce smart charging stations that enable a sustainable, cost-optimized and grid-friendly transition to e-mobility. The cooperation with gridX allows us to place the advantages of our charging stations even more strongly in the context of holistic energy management. According to market studies, go-e chargers combine the three most frequently requested features in wallboxes: smart functionality, tested quality, and a fair price.”

gridX accelerates market expansion
The partnership between gridX and go-e is designed for the long term and marks a strategic milestone in the market expansion of both companies. The integration of go-e’s market-leading charging solutions is a decisive step toward expanding gridX’s own technology portfolio and further strengthening its role as an enabler of the energy transition. The introduction of plug-and-play commissioning is planned for the coming months, which will simplify the installation process and further maximize the benefits for end customers. With the expansion of the “Ready for gridX” ecosystem, both companies are driving forward the holistic management of energy flows in the home.
