On 16.12.19 the official handover of the funding decision by Peter Altmaier takes place. The Consortium shows energy-optimized quarters in Essen, Bedburg and Kaisersesch starting in 2020. gridX is responsible for the connectivity and thus for the intelligent energy management in the neighbourhood.

gridX is already set up for the Smart Meter Rollout. Together with the EEBUS partners, the use case "Grid Interaction" was presented at the metering days. gridX brings high competence and experience in the field of Energy Management Systems (EMS) into the use case.

The Californian energy market offers great potential for gridX as well as proximity to the world’s leading tech companies. The German Accelerator forms the basis for establishing a customer base in the USA, where gridX aims to build lasting relationships with local players and gain a deeper understanding of the American market.
