2025 wasn’t just a year of business milestones. It was a year full of human moments that made working here special.
How we inspire the next generation to join a clean tech company
This year, we traveled across Germany to meet students excited about impactful careers. We focused on meaningful exchanges — people who want more than a typical job; who want to work at a clean tech company contributing to real change.
We kicked things off supporting future leaders at RWTH’s Career Day for Women in January. In March, we hosted a workshop at MMK in Munich, where students tackled a real-life gridX challenge. Later in the year, we connected with talent at major TU events, the Bonding fair in Aachen and HS Munich’s recruiting event.
These conversations help us discover motivated thinkers who want to shape a more sustainable energy future.

How we strengthen culture through collaboration and connection
Our offices in Aachen and Munich are where all the magic happens – and not just coding magic.
This year, we had a ton of fun at our Culture Nights, which are evenings where we celebrate the 30+ cultural backgrounds that make up our team members. These evenings are all about cooking together and enjoying dishes from places such as Spain, Croatia, France, South Tyrol, Sweden and more. We play trivia games to learn more about each place, or we try cultural events, such as the South Tyrolean tradition Törggelen (hiking mixed with appetizers, dinner and roasted chestnuts). It’s a great way to experience different cultures and enjoy time with colleagues.
As usual, the highlight of the year was our annual Team Week in June. We balanced intense roadmap planning and strategizing with plenty of socializing, sports and games. Throughout the year, we also organized smaller team activities, such as competitive bowling, ceramic painting, igloo building and creating personalized perfumes.

How we create positive impact beyond the desk
As a clean tech company, sustainability and responsibility go hand-in-hand. That’s why our Social Days were one of the year’s biggest highlights. These days, team members get involved in all sorts of local projects that help our local communities: taking elderly residents on a trip to the zoo, volunteering at a local kindergarten and pitching in at an animal shelter. Social Days are always rewarding and have the added benefit of bringing our team members closer together.

How we prioritize well-being in a high-growth environment
Clean tech moves fast. To keep up, we have to care for each other as much as we care for the energy transition.
In 2025, we dedicated a whole month to internal mental health awareness, organizing a simple, actionable initiative each week to remind everyone to take a break and talk openly. We also got moving, participating in the company run in Aachen in September and organizing the meaningful Brustkrebslauf (Breast Cancer Run) in Munich in October.
On a day-to-day basis, it’s the little things that matter: regular office breakfasts, casual after-work drinks and snacks, group walks and runs — all of these are easy ways to connect and unwind without the pressure of a formal meeting.
