Munich/Aachen, 16 January 2024 – 2023 was a year of internationalization for Europe's leading smart energy company gridX. The company reached an important next stage: the smart energy expert, based in Aachen and Munich, was able to conclude more than 50% of its new partnerships in European countries outside of Germany. Its new partners include leading European operators of fast-charging parks and energy service companies. Long-term partnerships were concluded for the first time in Switzerland and Spain. The company, which was founded in 2016, is thus proving that the management’s growth strategy is not only succeeding in the domestic market, but also on international terrain. gridX’s rapid growth also illustrates the keen interest in smart energy management across all markets. "We are currently seeing strong momentum in a number of European regions, including – in addition to Germany – the Netherlands, Spain, Scandinavia, Italy and the UK," says Tim Steinmetz, Managing Director and Chief Growth Officer of gridX. As such, the Managing Director is also setting the tone for gridX's coming financial year and providing an outlook on the company’s expectations: "There are some extremely interesting players in the regions mentioned, and we are convinced that by combining forces, together we can drive the energy transition forward," adds Steinmetz. In 2024, gridX's growth – both nationally and internationally – is set to build on the positive momentum of the previous year. "We are currently in a strong scaling phase and want to further drive our presence and our position as Europe’s leading smart energy company in 2024," explains Steinmetz.
